I’m Ciarán O’Sullivan, but most people know me as Kiwi.

I grew up in West Cork, surrounded by coastline, craft, and a deep respect for doing things properly. Long before brands or business plans, I was drawn to hands-on work — learning a trade, perfecting details, and taking pride in the end result.

That mindset led me into barbering. What started as a skill quickly became a platform. Through years of cutting hair at the highest level — from everyday clients to elite athletes and international sporting events — I saw first-hand what was missing in hair care: products that performed, looked considered, and felt authentic.

I wanted something clean, honest, and rooted in where I’m from.

That idea became Celtic Strand.

Celtic Strand is inspired by Ireland’s raw coastal elements and craftsmanship — a modern Irish brand built on simplicity, performance, and provenance. Our hero product, KiwiSalt, was born behind the barber’s chair, formulated using pure Irish sea salt brine from Achill Island and refined with a minimalist, performance-driven approach.

No gimmicks. No over complication. Just ingredients that work.

Launched in Ireland in 2023, KiwiSalt grew organically through barbershops, salons, and word of mouth. Today, Celtic Strand is expanding beyond Ireland, with early traction in the U.S. and a growing international audience who connect with our story, our design, and our standards.

This brand is a reflection of how I work and how I live: Thoughtful. Purposeful. Uncompromising on quality.
